I just burned a DVD with DVDfab and in the log file I noticed it listed my OS (XP64) as Longhorn. Whats that about?

Heh, probably because the program doesn't recognize it properly.

Any particular reason you use 4.7GB+ DVD to burn Windows XP? I usually use Nero to make a CD a little under 600MB. Not only that but it will take longer to install off of a DVD because the read speed is generally quite a bit lower.

16x DVD-ROM: 21.13MB/s
52x CD-ROM: 7.8MB/s (maybe megabits?)

Those should be correct

So DVD+R/RW transfer rate is the same as DVD-ROM?

Not the speed that it burns (which will obviously be much slower than reading off of the disc), but the read speeds of DVD+/-RWs should be the same as the read speeds on DVD-ROMs.

I didnt burn WinXP, I am running WinXP 64bit and burned a movie dvd to a blank dvd using DVDfab. The log file for DVDfab showed longhorn as my OS. :)
