Looks pretty sweet. Very Longhornish.

That looks good, that 150+ pixel toolbar was a good idea, the old toolbar method just gave you way to much room to work with. They should probably narrow the edit RichText control down to 50px, I mean, who actually needs to see the document they are working/read with all this awesome toolbar eye-candy. Wonder how much they're going to ask for this piece of bloat-code?
Sadly, I'm also an Exchange Admin/Net Admin, I wonder if they're going to change the PST format like they did with Outlook 2003 so it's no longer backwards compatible.

Looks intresting, however since most of the worlds population runs 1024x768 on 17" lcd monitors... they are gonna be screwed heh.

Hmm...I don't really like that silver "stainless steel" look. Reminds me of macs...kinda ugly IMO.

Really? I think it looks Mac-ish, too, but man, it sure is pretty. I can't wait to get this and Longhorn.
And I don't care what the official name is, Longhorn is what I'll always call it. :)
Is this coming out around the same time as Vista?

I don't even know. I didn't actually read the article...I just looked at the pictures. :)

Someone tell MS that's Apple's moving away from the metal look. It's been done ;)

Meh, it's a huge improvement over what's there now and that's all that matters.

My thoughts exactly.
some people are saying the new design will really throw off a lot of daily users, cause they'll have to relearn it lol.

All eye-candy aside, I wonder what additional functionality they have added, if any.
supposedly a lot but I'm too lazy to do the reseach. Microsoft said the new look is only the icing on the cake this time around.
