how does taking a wierd quote and putting on your website show marketing power?
it shows the usual "we assume our customers knows jack**** about anything" attitude, such as some of the examples in nvidias Nsist on Nvidia thing..
Or anything positive ever said by Intel about the 3d performance in Intel Extreme Graphics..

btw anyone managed to dig up the article where that is quoted from?
Would be interesting to se the context of it..

The question they should be asking themselves is will that Asus card fit in most peoples cases?

It came from the link below (May 2004). It looks like it was an old comparison of the 6800U against the X800 Pro and XT. Looks like there were problems with the 6800U drivers at the time since it was barely beat out the 9800XT and wasn't much better than the 5950U.

This is FarCry with the highest settings possible. This is 1600x1200 resolution with 4x full-scene antialiasing and 16x anisotropic filtering activated. This is the RADEON X800. And this is absolutely playable. No comments are required for 85% performance improvement over the competing GeForce 6800 Ultra.

That was on patch 1.1 which didnt support SM3.0 for NV4x cards + perfomance under SM2.0 was unoptimized with that patch anyway until 1.3 came out.
way to go ATI PR  more deceiving info the new customers.
