playing Kingpin in XP, OpenGL drivers

I really wanted to check out Kingpin. But it doesn't work very well in XP. I'm running an AMD duron 1.6 Ghz on an Asrock motherboard, 256 DDR ram, with a MSI Geforce 5200 FX, with 128 MB of ram. I installed the game with no problems, but when I went to play it, everything was in red and black grid-like graphics. I was using the abandonware version, but other people have had similar problems. Any suggestions?

I have Kingpin installed it seems to be working fine.

I have the samre problem. It might be a problem with the Abandonware version.

Update:

Downloaded the official demo which worked fine. I guess the Abandonware is screwed then.
