Hey guys. I was putting my new rig together earlier and I came across something very weird. What the heck is up with the 24-pin ATX power connector? Isn't it supposed to be 20-pin? Can anyone enlighten me on which way to hook it up?

I took a common sense approach and matched up shape on the connector but I dunno if it's right. And don't worry, I still haven't gotten my video card yet so I haven't tried to power it up or anything.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Umm, all the new mobos these days are using the 24 pin connector. I'm not actually sure why, but I know that they do. You can buy a 20-24 pin adaptor or get a new powersupply with a 24 pin connector.

Now hold up a sec. I've been looking around so see what the big deal with the extra 4 pins were but it seems as if there arent any! Check it review out:

Should I try it when my video card comes in?
