I have a Logitech MX300 (get one - awesome) and for a long time I was upset because the wheel would not work in games. Logitech recently released new drivers and all is now well.

That's what I thought when I finally got the new drivers to work. Now try and get buttons 4-8 working in all your games, and windows apps. Now that is a challenge. If you use nothing more than 2 buttons plus scroll wheel, and plug in to USB, then that driver is all you need.

The MX300 is only a 3 button mouse. The petition here is geared more toward MX500 and MX700 owners.

now lets ignore all the "service packs" bugs and bussiness practises of microsoft because the side buttons work in games. W00t they are perfect!!:p :D

I still have my Intellimouse Optical and Explorer 3, but still like my MX700 more. :p
