So many broken aspects, namely this board in the PM screen and the Flash player plugin doesn't work at all either. I am not happy with this at all.
I'm going back to 1.06 as soon as I get un-lazy enough to do it.
I had that problem too... I deleted my old 1.06, started clean, and it worked like a charm :)
Also, Opera is now free!! www.opera.com
I think I found my new favorite browser for the time being... ;)

I agree. I even deleted 1.06 and my profile and started from scratch. Earlier today I had just the main page of nV News open and Firefox was using 88 MB of RAM! And the CPU usage was fluxuating at 10-16% thanks to the Flash bug still not being fixed.
So I decided to run a little experiment and open the mian page of nV News in the newly-downloaded Opera. 6 MB of RAM used and 0-1% CPU. Firefox has some 'splaining to do if it wants to remain my browser of choice.

I thought I heard a lot of stuff about Opera being really slow and such...is this true? Or have they fixed it?
I dunno, its fast for me. And the forward and back buttons are easily twice as fast as firefox.

what the hell...I'll give it a whirl. The amount of resources FireFox has been using lately is ridiculous.

Wow, I'm quite impressed. Not quite as fast as FF in terms of page loading, but it looks 10x more professional. Nice. I think I'll use this for a while.
Does it have plugins and such as well? I came to like my Gmail notifier and ForceCast Fox plugins.
I am using it for the first time myself as I type this, pages are a tad slower to load but it is much much smoother especially on heavy flash pages and the system hit is smaller.
Will keep feeling it out.

For GMail notifier, I use the standalone Windows app. It works well enough for what I need.

I used to use that, but it kept having so many problems logging in and such. And it runs all the time. The great thing about the one in FF is that it only runs/checks when I'm online, so if I'm gaming, I don't get the notices in-game, or worse, kicked to the desktop to see it.
According to tests done a few months back Opera was actually faster but maybe that was before Firefox became more optimized. I don't know I've been testing Opera and really like it. It has a ton of great builtin features and even the way it fills in passwords with the wand is superior imo.
