I recently installed Delta Force: Blackhawk Down after a recent reformat, and when I start it up and it does that CPU and video card test it detects shaders, T&L, it also shows the resolution tests
640X840 - pass
800X600 - pass
1024X768 - pass
1280X1024 - Fail

Since 1280X1024 fails I can't set the game to that, it limits it at 1024X748. Iam able to run all my others games at 1280X1024 without problems. I have the latest version of Delta Force and nVidia drivers. So why does the high res fail? BTW, I have a 17 inch LCD monitor and I run windows in 1280X1024.

Sounds like the same problem.
Do you have your monitor driver (.inf) installed?

I had the same problem with 6800 ultra and 19" crt. I think it has to do with the video card being newer than the game. Heres what you do, browse to your installed directory, find dfv.cfg open with notepad and find the line

hw3d_res1280x1024 = 0
change to
hw3d_res1280x1024 = 1

You should be able to choose 1280x1024 in the menu now. Hope that helps you, worked for me.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't install it the last time I updated my system since I could never get it to work over 1024x768 with the 6800U.
