View Full Version : Windows xp cant shutdown

Hi I am having a problem shutting doen windows xp. When i click on start and turn off computer and hourglass icon appears and nothing happens. I have service pack 2 installed and all the latest drivers. Anyone here have anything to try?

also do a scan for adware and hijackers.... use ms antispyware and adaware and hijackthis.... all very good programs .,....

sounds like its trying to shutdown a service or program but locks up. Also try ctrl+alt+delete and ending all your user processes (to find out the problem, not as a solution), Then shutdown.

i take it that was the problem? if so then i think you need to stay away from those pr0n sites ;)
