Just a few weeks ago after the news (http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews/20050912_092930.html) of ATI going to match Nvidia's GeForce 7800 volume launch with the whole new family of X1300, X1600 and X1800 on 5 Oct. These things will never happen, X1300 will ship in volume along with X1800 a few weeks later in around November. ATI wont launch X1600 until December because they already shipped X800 GT and GTO in large volume until end of year. That look very bad for ATI, I thought ATI said months ago they had sold out all X800 GT and GTO chips in a month, guess here are so many chips to make that they couldn't get cleared off their inventory. If they can't get it cleared space for X1600 in 3 months then ATI will have disasterious Xmas sales.

A stake into Crossfire. A stake into Orton. A stake into ATi if this is true.

Gotta ditch all of the semi faulty x800/x850 chips somehow. But if nvidia releases a 7600 soon, ill bet ati will be scrambling to get that r530 out.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at ATI's next board meeting. Whoever is making the decisions over there lately doesn't seem to care much about the companies image.
