HEXUS.net (http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=3566) received the latest ATI X1x00 pricing list:
X1xxx xx Memory Price
X1800 XT 512MB $549
X1800 XT 256MB $499
X1800 XL 256MB $449
X1600 XT 256MB $249
X1600 XT 128MB $199
X1600 Pro 256MB $199
X1600 Pro 128MB $149
X1300 Pro 256MB $149
X1300 256MB $129
X1300 128MB $99
X1300 Hyper Memory 128MB $79
I noticed something has changed, ATI had dropped X1800 PRO 512MB and X1800 (LE) and it leave X1800 XT the only flagship card with 512MB. Look like here are so very few 512MB chips around than ATI expected.

Lets see how long it takes for the 512MB version to release....
Looks like memory is cheaper then what everybody though, 50 bucks gets you an extra 256megs of speedy 1.4ns(or 1.2?) memory.... whodathunkit.
And its interesting that the 512meg xt msrp is lower then the $599 msrp of the 7800gtx, is a phantom edition in the works? :)

If thats correct then ATI's pricing is great IMO. Now nvidia needs to get their 512mb 7800GTX and GT cards out. :D

Lets wait and see the test before we scream for a 512mb 7800GTX card. I doubt the x1800XT will be more then 5% ahead of the 7800GTX

You do realised that those cards never existed and were just rumours invented by sites like the inquirer? Similar situation as the 7800 Ultra I guess, created and cancelled by the inquirer and co.
Only 50 Dollar diff between xt 256 and xt 512.
Either the pricing is wrong or ati is generous?

Wise words indeed! You're right, there was never such a thing as the "7800 Ultra".
I would expect those prices to drop sharply they always do with hardware RRP
Initially i expect prices to be higher than those mention or expected.
More like $450.

Ya we know its that cheap, but msrp is 550-599 on some cards.

Why does it matter what the MSRP is when you can get the cards for that price.
You missed my point, but whatever...

If these cards perform roughly the same as nvidias cards, I would expect to see nvidia drop the hell out of their prices.

Well it wasn't from The Inquirer, the first ATI price list were produced by Anandtech, claimed it official ATI prices but however HEXUS.net obtained the latest ATI price list released to ATI partners, let wait and see next week. The Inquirer probably tell the truth about G71 but they didnt know what it really is, they assumed it was 7800 Ultra, not quite, actually it the whole new G70 refresh line with 3 new G71 products included 7900 Ultra.
