There seems to be a new PDF brief about PureVideo. It looks like hardware accelerated video encoding or transcoding is back on the cards.

All I know is that the latest bios update for the Dell XPS2 (A04 IIRC) allows one to upgrade from the 6800 Ultra 2 Go to a 7800 GTX 2 Go. Actually, I beleive that its the same for the Dell 9300's as well, but I could be wrong.

Did you guys notice this litle snip on the pdf

Advanced manufacturing fabrication and packaging processes, tuned specifically for mobile needs, provide the industry’s lowest power operation capability (down to the latest 0.09 micron process technology, running at low voltage, and power-dissipative bare-die flip-chip packaging).

Now thats interesting, looks like nvidia has a 0.09 micron 7800gtx up their sleeves. Why oh why wont they release it for the desktop?
So much for the ati 0.09 micron advantage :p
