Is it true that we can't install 2 sticks of DDR400 RAM on it?

But can Install 2 sticks of DDR333 RAM on it.

Can I set the DDR400 speed to 333 then install another DDR400?

He's asking about the A7V8X (KT400) not the A7N8X. I would post over at the amdmb.com forums for an answer. I don't see why 2 sticks of DDR 400 wouldn't work, but you never know.

It really depends


If you use the 2 DDR400 sticks at 400mhz with fast timings, you will have stability problems.

So either you use the 2 sticks at 400mhz with really slow timings or use them at 333mhz with fast timing which will yield better performance.

reportedly the nforce2 has no trouble handling 2 or even three sticks of DDR400 even with fast timings as long as they are running synchronously with the processor.
