Usually people set it depending on how much ram they have, I would say 256MB is a comfortable figure but if you have 2GB of system ram then i'd punch it to 512.

Honestly, itd be a lot better to just do a forum search for it... there are some really in depth discussions on it around here. Basically its a personal preference type thing. In general extremely high and extremely low numbers arent good. To prevent problems Id say leave it at 256.

If you want to look into it more, search the forums here... on some systems certain settings gave people decent performance gains while others fixed (and sometimes caused) hitching\freezing in games. Use 256 if youre lazy, do some research here if you arent. Best advice I can give you on this subject.

Thanks for your feedback!

I have 1GB system RAM so I'll set the AGP to 256MB

Thanks again!

Generally the more RAM the video card has, the less aperture you would need. For 256MB card I'd recommend 128MB aperture, and for a 512MB card 64MB would do.
