Beta 2 will release in November 2005 (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=26656), a month earlier than expected. It will come with full functional DirectX 10. :D
It will take Microsoft 3 months to reach beta 2 since released beta 1 to testers on 27 July 2005. I believe Release Candidate 1 will take place 3 months after beta 2 on February 2006 and then Release Candidate 2 on May 2006 and RTM on July 2006. This will make October 2006 Vista launch date. :D
The Inquirer is wrong about beta 3, here is no beta 3 in Windows XP in 2001.
