I found Gibbo posted his replies today from Overclockers UK forum (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17477412&page=1&pp=30), it do not look very good, I combined 3 posts into one:
Hi there
The X1800 XT 512MB scores 9100 in 3D Mark 2005 which I stated several months ago, guess I've been right all along since day one, so all those who flamed me best take back what they said. Again like I said its a willy waving product which will have poor availability to begin with......
The X1800 XT won't clock a huge amount more on air, but due to the lower manufacturing process it will respond extremely well to some seriously good cooling.
So yes as always I have said X1800 XT is quicker than a stock factory clocked 7800 GTX (430/1200) which scores just under 8000 in 3D Mark. But the faster overclocked GTX's will score 8600 - 9300 on air cooling and are easily available and cheaper at OcUK.
The X1800 XT is gonna be seriously limited stock wise though probably until December unfortunately. There will be no X1800 XT's on launch day and probably not until end of this month, so now were gonna have to do with X1800 XL's which are in allocation but OcUK are getting frequent deliveries to cope with demand.
I believe on launch day there will be 10 units worldwide which will go out to the press and none will go to Etailors......
Expect small numbers to come through to the UK end of this month or early November and no doubt OcUK will have exclusive as we take priority in the UK and if stock is seriously limited then yes the price will be very high, but don't blame OcUK, blame ATI as OcUK is a business and were here to make money and obviously if something is rare and not available easily then more money has to be made. Its just like say a Ferrari Enzo you pay to have something that most can't afford....
P.S. Its looking doubtful that X1800 XL will be available on day of launch as well, keeping fingers crossed for end of this week at the moment.
On Wednesday we shall place cards on pre-order from Connect3D, HIS, PowerColor and Sapphire. We hope to recieve HIS and Sapphire X1800 XL 256MB stock this week and pricing is still yet to be confirmed.....
If we do recieve any X1800 XT's this month then it will probably be less than 50 units, we will no doubt be the only Etailor with stock and the price will be high until allocation problems go away.
It look like Overclockers UK and other etailers will have no stocks of X1300, X1600 and X1800 cards by 5th October so they will be only available to pre-order, ATI probably will shipping as few as 20 X1800XTs to OEM worldwide on Wednesday. When Overclockers and other etailers will have stocks of X1800XTs, they will charge it at high prices of £580/$1017 for the next 3 months.

Wow, your calling it a flop and it hasn't even been officially announced yet.
Even if the XT isn't available at launch, it isn't gonna hurt ATI that bad. The $500-$600 cards are only 2% of the market. As long as they have a good supply of cards that beat nvidia's best selling card, the 6600GT then they should do fine.
When it does comes out it *should* be better than the GTX. This is based off of the obviously exaggerated ATI slides, but im sure there is some truth to them.
Better performance (should be a little faster overall, but I don't expect to see 80%).
More memory.
Adaptive AA which is as good or better than TAA.
All HDR modes work with AA.
I wonder how nvidia is gonna counter the X1600XT. Currently the PCI-e 6800GT is $300, maybe a little less. They may drop them to $250 to compete with the 256mb X1600XT instead of bringing out a whole new line.

If i cant buy the card (XT, XL) here in Denmark(Europe) then yes its a flop. The 7800GTX was avalibel in Denmark they day it was released, and not just 1 card. I dont think the cards performance is a flop, but if you cant buy the XT until December hov can they clame to have the fastest card? Nvidia could make 10 7800Ultras withs 32 pipes at 550 mhz and send em to the top review sites in the world and then dont have them on them market untill 2006.

and claim they have the fastest card on planet.

So what your saying is that every card that didn't have a hard launch is a flop? I guess that means every card before the 7800GTX was a flop then. The fact is, it will be available. It may not be right after launch, but you will be able to buy it.
Now if it turns out slower than a 512mb GTX and cost the same or more then yeah, it was a flop. Why not wait till its released before we call it a flop, alright? ;)

This is true. The 6800 Ultra was damn near impossible to find right on launch day. It took a while before it was available, though not nearly as long as the X800XT Phantom Edition.

Whats the point of your post? To start fights like you always do? Sorry, its not worth my time.

Yet you still managed to make the time to respond. I'm honored.
And I don't start fights. I simply like to challenge people who say stupid things and it just so happens that you post alot. (salute)
I think i'll wait and see what happens with this. Gibbo and his information is not exactly reliable. http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=51755

Well Gibbo is Overclocker UK saleman who deal with stocks daily, he posted 3 times yesterday to gave away mentioned that none of the cards were hold in stocks on time for the launch. Gibbo gave away the information that he received stocks of Geforce 7800 GTX cards weeks before the official launch back in June, that of course very reliable information. :)
So today is only 1 day left, it seem here no chance Gibbo will recieve stocks unexpected without confirmations from ATI partners shipping products to Overclockers UK, that how stocks working. :D
Ati are going to give very specific info @ launch regarding all the cards release dates.

I said I wouldn't do this, yet here I am. How is my post stupid? What I said boiled down to one statement. "Wait till the X1800XT is out before calling it a flop". Now how is that stupid?
Your post, however, could be considered stupid.
When? When the 8800GTX us upon us?
It doesn't add to the discussion in any way. Hell, it doesn't even challenge what I said. All it does is start fights, your whole purpose for coming to this website. Well congrats, you managed to get under my skin.

 Just like X850 launch in Dec 2004 when they specified that the products will be in stocks within 30 days in volume, then 30 days later, no products on shelves in volume they promised. Maybe this time they will say that they will expect the new products to be in stocks in volume within 3 months. :D
Wow I cant believe it almost exactly a year ago, no wonder ATI will repeat that.
Are you looking to buy one AthlonXP1800?

It's less stupid and more funny. Optimists. You guys just crack me up. HEY PEOPLE! Let's all assume that ATI won't vapor launch their flagship even though everything we've heard so far points to the contrary. YAY!
