I found this (http://www.pcpop.com/doc/0/111/111034_2.shtml) from Rage3D forum, here the image quality from Age of Empire 3 on both X1300 and Geforce 6600.
X1300

Geforce 6600

X1300

Geforce 6600

Well I really didnt see X1300 image quality far superior to Geforce 6600, it not what ATI claimed that the R5xx image quality is much sharper and better than both Geforce 6 and 7 series. I find that both Geforce 6600 image quality seem slight sharper than X1300 image quality. It look like ATI's hype machine are end up in failure misery.

Where did it say that ATI's HDR IQ was better than nvidia's? What they said is that their cards allow AA+HDR which improves IQ.
Another pointless thread by XP1800. Are you ever going to stop?
It looks like you forget to tell people that you resized the images, with some jpg compression thrown in. IQ comparisons are great @ 400x300 res too.
The orginal screenshots were 1024x768 on ATi and 1600x1200 on nvidia.

It came from ATI's hype machine or PR.

I didnt realised that, I saved the pics from PCPOP pages and posted it at imageshack, however to me both look the same resolutions.
Ok, well you need to look again. Do yo honestly think that you can compare IQ @ 400 x 300?

Obviously you would have noticed the dual DVI on the X1300 in that article too ;)

Ahhh thank. :p Like I said I just saved the images from PCPOP pages, I didnt clicked the images to load the full images and saved it. I have to redo all the images in full resolutions. Yeah I did noticed that it has dual DVI, I dont know if it retail or engineering sample but the retail one has no dual DVI at $149, X1300 Pro with dual DVI probably will be more expensive at $179.
Oh, you just saved the thumbnails? I see now. The MSI one doesn't have dual DVI but it looks like the ATi one does. Should be interesting to see what happens with them all.
It came from ATI's hype machine or PR.
Got a link to back this up?

Got a link to back this up?
As far I remembered it was either quoted from David Orton and Richard Huddy interviews and from many forums, I will try to find the links as it was 2 months ago.
Found one here (http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews/20050830_205000.html).
R520 can best Nvidia's performance and image quality levels in any scenario.
AthlonXP1800, so you changed the images in your original post? You stretched the original ATI shots that were rendered at 1024x768 to match the nvidia shots that were orginally rendered at 1600x1200?
What are you doing man? You know you can't do an image comparison that way. What are you trying to prove anyway? It looks like a 6600 will be no match for the X1300 as it doesn't have any of the advanced new features that the ATi cards do.

Yes I corrected the links and ATI images stretched to 1600x1200, it make easy to compare.
Well just about every sites that did games benchmarks did showed image comarisions that way, dont forget about Far Cry and many others I forgetten.
Obviously you still have a lot to learn. When you render at higher resolutions you get a better quality image. When you stretch an image to a larger size, you get a greatly reduced image quality. Saving and resaving images with JPG compression also loses a lot of quality.
You don't even know what settings were used to take those original screenshots. The new ATi line can easily be ahead in IQ due to things like their new angle independant AF, and HDR with AA.
To be honest I think both of us know what you are trying to do here, and it's quite pathetic.

No kidding. Its VERY obvious that the 6600 shot had higher in game settings turned on. The textures are set to low in the X1300 shot. That makes this comparison pointless.

All that says is that ATI's IQ is better. What do you expect them to say?
ATI does have IQ that is on par or better than nvidia's. You would be hard pressed to prove otherwise.
