90% faster? where is that from? maybe you or they mean 10% faster.

It came from ATI X1800 sales sheet, on the bar chart it 90% but none of us believe it but think it 10% faster. Like when ATI launched X850 XT PE, they claimed it will be 40% faster in Half Life 2 but in the reviews it not much faster, just about 10% faster.

Jumping to FEAR. :)

Edit: Well, according to HOCP, the 7800GT OC is identical to the X1800XL, no numbers though. :(

Edit2: Rough summary of the DH review: Majority of games are identical, cards are too close(decent advantage to the X1800XT in FEAR 1600x1200/4x/8x). Only OGL game is Doom 3, where the GTX has a huge advantage. I'm guessing driver bug though. :(

Yeah it looks pretty close according to HardOCP's eval. No testing of the XT though due to the Nov. availability issue.

Anyone see a confirmation (one way or another) on AGP availability? HardOCP's eval doesn't say.

DH shows a lot of parity between boards, except on FEAR.

Edit: And no word on AGP also in there

Yeah it seems close on the DH results w/the XT taking the lead in most cases (though usually not by a lot).

I am intensely curious to find out about the AGP question though. Seems odd that of the two evals I've read so far there is no mention at all. Quite a few of us having been wondering about this.

Yeah, it looks like when comparing performance nothing has really changed. Some games nvidia is faster in, some games ATI is faster in, performance in general is very close between the competing models. ATI does have some nice new features though.

Edit: This comment was after reading the HardOCP's review. I haven't read the others yet.
