Hi all, currently running a 7800gtx, and really like the 81.82 drivers.
I hear that the 80 series mean I can mix differing makes in SLi, is this true of this set ?
Seriously considering getting a second GTX, but I can get a different make much cheaper than the one I have now .... I could always flash the bios to match but will I need to do this with the 81.82 ?

Also ... just read around here and seen the SLi v-sync issue ... kinda disappointing, but at least Nvidia know of it and are working to fix it. :)

seems so, as long as you have the same core you are good to go

Yep hes right..

Long as its same core/GPU Brand doesnt matter at all it seems from what I read.

Eg.

eVGA 7800GTX
XFX 7800GTX

Superb .... Leadtek one in ATM. POV one arriving tommorow :)
I know the leadtek does 470/1325 artifact free for 2 hours on ATi Tool, so will try the POV on its own and see what that can achieve, then its in with the pair for some SLI action ... long time since I had a SLi setup, voodoo 2 I believe it was

Those were the days, and if I recall you needed a normal 2D card also and used this weird loop through thing haha

I always used ATI or Matrox cards to handle the 2D part, funny how times have changed so much.
