I have not seen a post yet on the new Requirements for Rank and Unlocks. It also appears that there has been changes to the requirements for Ribbons and Badges. Anyone have a link to the new system?

Sweet ... at 20,000 I will be able to unlock the last 2 guns since I have all those awards. :D Only problem is ... im only at 9000 now .. lol :p However.... there is no way in hell I will ever hit 250000. I dont see how without cheating you possibly could... I dont even see how people are so high now unless they play 24/7 :)

There really is a lot of "cheating" going on and I've seen lots of things I would call questionable at least. For instance: On one server I played on once it seemed one guy had two accounts and was playing both as medics. I say it seemed like one guy had two accounts because both names were the same with an A at the end of one and a B at the end of the other. ;) When one of his guys would die, he'd run up and revive with the other and vice versa. By the end of the round they both had well over 100 pts and maybe a few kills each.
That's not the only way to get "high" scores though. I'm able to get over 50pts per round just by playing the "defend our captured flags" game and not thinking about pts. I had several 80+ rounds just because my squad actually acted as a squad. I had a medic, anti-tank, and a support guy in my squad who actually did their jobs. First time I have had a good squad like that. We all ended up with 80+ pts for the few rounds we played together as a squad.
But yeah, I just broke 10,000 not too long ago and am just now approaching 11,000. Sadly the meter showing my progress towards my next rank hasn't even changed from just over 10k to almost 11k. Not sure I will make it to the next rank before I lose interest. I'm mainly losing interest because of all the bunny hoppers, glitch-abusers, and the whole "I emptied an entire clip into this guy's face/upper body and so did the guy next to me, he ran around the corner and went prone, I followed, and shot him several times with my hand gun and we both died from his one-shot". Both me and the other guy who had this happen commented about it: "wow... just wow" and "This guy must be super man."
The concept that several good hits on someone with a sniper's riffle doesn't bring them down, but when they see me reload and take one snap shot from almost out of visual range with their assault rifle and one-hit me just doesn't add up with me. I would say it's "luck", but the amount of times it seems to happen to me and my friends cannot simply be "luck".
Collission system also seems to need work. So many times I have fired an anti-tank weapon just over an object and the projectile has cleared it on my screen, then a moment later I die because it hits the object right in front of me and I am "no more".
:banghead: (soapbox)
I try to overlook all this stuff and enjoy the game though.

it really is sad when a spec ops regular rifle is more accurate for sniping than an actual sniper rifle, plus the fact that most snipes take 2 shots to finish them off.
i've tested it before - i had two kits side by side and tried the regular USMC spec ops rifle, and the .50 cal sniper rifle - it was almost no contest.
8 bullets with 1 reload to take someone down, or 4 short pops with an assault rifle?
do the math...

BF2 is fun ... but is a joke. Its just CS with bigger guns and more space... and I should note I hate CS :p But at least BF2 is still fun to play .. even thought it is so damn annoying at times with the stupid quarks in the game.... the huge maps, nice graphics (needs HDR tho) and vehicals make it fun most of the time :)
