Sometimes I think too much radiation is going to my head with this 19" crt monitor I have. Im thinking of getting one of those glare filters, but does the picture become more dull and dark? I mean if you're a gamer you want a good bright screen, can you offset the darkness of the filter by turning up the brightness of your monitor?

Radiation ay? :p

I had one of the anti-glare filters for about a week... I got it because I have a window behind me at my desk and it made it nearly impossible to play games during the day because of the glare. For one: it did NOTHING, in fact, it created a second glare on the filter, while the original one on the monitor was still visible. And its a huge pain in the ass to deal with.

As for radiation... I dont know anything about that. What made you worry about that all of the sudden? :p

Turn down the brightness and/or get a smaller screen LOL

Seriously, if your that worried, a LCD is a better option, those filters are only good for banks and other places to stop peeps reading the screen from all angles
