Hi Folks,

I am confused about the HD resolution support of my plain Geforce 6800, I have the 81.84 driver loaded and I can set the output to HD resolutions but can someone confirm these numbers are correct please and if this card is designed to produce HD?

When I set it to 1080p the monitor reads 1920 x 1080 60Hz, should it be 60Hz or 50Hz?? Picture looks stable.

When I set it to 1080i the monitor reads 1920 x 540 50Hz, is that right for 1080i, the screen also jitters badly, I was expecting some flicker but this is awful!

720p reads 1280x720 60Hz, sounds about right but again wasn't sure if I should be expecting 50Hz??

Looking forward to your replies...

Thanks.

It may be limitations in your monitor. In advanced timings you can set it to any resoloution at any refresh rate and set interlace or not. What your monitor can actualy support may be causing the flickering. I know when I set mine up to my Tv for 1080i it looks great. My monitor does not seem to handle the interlace that well though.

There are a lot of sites with custom timings and such, I think that power strip program can tell you exactly what your monitor supports as well.
