Hello,
I have 3 computers and a wireless router and i have internet sharing enabled on my windows 2003!

I want to know is there any way i could make windows to ask for a person to login inorder to give access to internet? and keep a record of their IP, username and mac address?

What i want to do is make a simple user management so i know who is accessing the internet and who it is!
( i want to setup the usernames)

why are you using a router and having your other workstation access the internet through your win 2003 server?...this doesnt make much sence..first all of your workstations need to be connected through the router... and let the router dishout ip addresses(except your win2003 server this needs to be goven a static ip address).... then what you can do is setup a domain with the win2003 server ...this will have all your users logonto the domain... you can then setup access rights and log everything to the win2003 server....

well the way i'm connected to the internet is using a wireless connection!
so i have all my Computer connected to my router and then the WIN2003 has a static IP!
right now the internet sharing works... but i want to put a login dialog for it!

but anyways my origanal explanation still applies... you just need to set up a domain structure....just make sure that both nics on your win 2003 server have static ip address

:P
u mean why i'm not connected directly to the router that has the internet connection?
well its because its not my router:P and they don't want to connect anyone to it...!

so that is why i have all my computers connected to my router and i have them to connect to internet using my WIN 2003( i have a wireless card on my windows 2003)!

well its because its not my router:P and they don't want to connect anyone to it...!i see now says the blind man .... so give what i said a try and setup a domain you can use it for access control and logging ....and asign each user a username and password....i think that is your best bet ...let us know how you make out
