Please tell me what you think, are they low or normal?
3DMark 2001 - 14372
3DMark 2003 - 14421
3DMark 2005 - 4484
All done on 1024x768 HQ with No AA AF
Core 490Mhz
Memory 1.26Ghz
Er that is about half of what you should get. There is a problem when 3dmark03 seems to be faster then 01.
Yep something's wrong. check for your settings like V-sync & other stuff.
also theres no 3DMark2004 .. its 2005 :)

Windows Vista? Perhaps the problem lies there.

No I took it off, benchmarks were done on XP 32bit, I must still change that.
Is this normal or is there something wrong with the card?
What can I do to get better perfomance?

I disabled all programs and nonessential services and did another benchmark.
Now I get
Why is there such a big difference?

Ok I did some tweaking
I'm using 81.40 driver
Benchmark done at 1024x786 with No AA or AF or V-Sync and High Performance
And Overclocked to as high as it will go.
GPU 499Mhz
Memory 1.4Ghz
Again with all programs and nonessential services disabled

Is 490/1.26 stock settings for your GTX? If not, try setting it back to stock and see what you get.

Its Overclocked now to as high as it will go. Now getting 6921
Is that better or is it still slow?

So how can I improve my score. Besides other hardware.
And is it safe if I run my card at
GPU 499Mhz
Memory 1.4Ghz
the all the time?

Your overclock is high and might actually be making your performance worse.
Try running it at stock settings to see if it helps. I haven't tested that yet with the drivers I'm using at the moment (not sure the driver even matters) but I've had my performance plummet when overclocking a little too far. For example, going from 470 on the core to 475 actually caused my performance to drop considerably (from like 12k in 3DMark05 to around 9K). I'm not sure if it is throttling or what when that happens. So, I suggested using stock settings to see if something similar was happening to you.

I had low 3DMArk05 scores.... at about 6500. Most forums suggest that this is due to the puny Intel 3.0ghz limitation.
SO I decided to overclock the hell out of it in hopes of saving my rig. Since I am a noob to overclocking... i had many start and stops... finally managed to get a stable clock at 3.45Ghz.... And the results were very encouraging..
New 3DMark05 score at 7498!!! Does not touch the 8k++ figures some others are putting up.... but my 7800GTX is not OCed yet... still stock at 430/1200. At least now I feel better about my rig. Game play is slightly better as frame rates have improved.
Next will have to learn up a little bit more about OCing to higher frequencies... next target 3.6Ghz!!
Well, anything new yet? Did you break 8k yet.
I do alittle more than 8K with my rig, so I would suggest your score is a bit low, unless the cpu's are the difference maker.

3dmark is a graphics test not a cpu test while a x2 will score higher not by much with the same card your gtx scores should be no more than 1000 less then a fast 64 or x2

Very odd, I just finished scoring 8060 video and 7100 cpu, that is better then what a lot of the dual cores are getting and pretty much smokes any P4, and this is with a lowly $130 single core cpu and a 7800gt.....lol for shame
