:jumping:
And it also won the 6th place in Wired Vaporware of the Year awards! W00T!
In other news, in the first weeks, the card is to cost $4999 instead of the normal $499 - pushing us in a new era of debt.

YES I aggree it's just another marketing scam LIE from nvidia to make us want GFFXs more ! They orignally said autum but they lied to make demand increase.
The GFFX is really just a radion 9700 with a huge fan strapped to it. Thats it folks.

If I remember correctly, "The Inquirer" was the first site to announce the name of the new GeForce would be the "GeForce FX".
Similar howlings of derision were heard then as well.
That aside...
Isn't it perfectly logical that a successful company such as Nvidia would make a paper launch, followed soon after by the release of the hardware?
The details at the Inquirier aren't exactly far-fetched.
In fact they are quite consisent with other "industry" reports.
Let me guess, when this card is reviewed and released you guys are going to be joining the "Ge-Force FX isn't fast enough" brigade.
It seems pretty enough to me. :p

It's just that the Inquirer is wrong about 80% of the time :p
AFAIK I was the one to come up with the name Geforce FX (blind guess). Not the Inquirer.

No, it's more like 10-20% overall. It's just unfortunate that their graphics chappie didn't know much when he started. He's getting better, but still has a long way to go.

we don't even have any reviews yet :POKE:
but i think we will see the oficial reviews very soon ..
in 2-3 weeks! if not earlier , there are many rumors
about HArdware reviewers receiving
GeforceFx samples for review..

And we already got a preview with homemade numbers, showing a 100% advantage with 4X AA and 8X AF!
But to use all that power, it requires a P4 3.5Ghz with 1024MB of godly RDRAM.
I'd be ready to bet nVidia gets a nice advantage in the 3DMark score because its drivers are less CPU dependant. Bad 3DMark! Bad! :D

I'd believe what it says on the actual MSI website more than what a posting to a French site says.
Early 2003 sounds more like January/February, definately not end of March/beginning of April
http://www.msi.com.tw/html/e_service/epaper/2003/01/01.htm
The new MSI GeForce FX cards are scheduled to ship to N. American in early 2003.
