The subtitles seem to go in and out on the latest drivers 81.85,, its kinda flickers also... i have a fx 5700 ultra with 2500+ barton 2x512 meg of ram if that helps.. Thanks :)

Yeah, I get the messed up subtitles but mine is only messed up on the left side of the screen. The right side seems fine. Kind of a weird issue. I had the same issue with the 81.84 betas.

SAME THING HERE OWA! :) Also, theres sound popping every once in awhile,, I have creative Audigy 2 card with the latest beta driver for OpenAL.

EDIT: Yah the sound are really messy sometimes :P Hopefully fable patch or audigy 2 patch soon :P

doesn't sound like things are going too well for this game atm. i'm glad i have no money to buy right now perhaps it'll be fixed by the holidays.

Finished Fable:TLC a few weeks ago. Never had or saw any of the problems you guys are having.

Funny thing is that the recent drivers 81.85 and 81.87 have this bug listed for GeForce7800GT/GTX on a Dell monitor (wide screen i think).

Apparently the Fable text bug appears across the board.

Sound problems are generally not video problems. Sounds like its a sound card or game issue.

Check this website http://fileismissing.blogspot.com/ for an OpenAL Installer (driver) update (link on the right). It updates the OpenAL core API. However even when I have this installed I get sound issues randomly but mostlikely everytime at the end of the tutorial where you fight Maze.
