Knowing Blizzard, it's gonna be sometime in the middle of next year before they release it.

DAMMIT! Barrens general chat was bad enough ... I can't fathom how much worse it's gonna be.

I know so many who play this and a lot think it's losing its luster. You would think blizz would want to get this out quick..

I don't really see the issue with the slow patches amd expansions. I mean what, some 3 million customers at $15/month. That should be more then plenty to come up with the resources to polish off the game and release expansions fast.

I played WoW and it really just seemed dull the entire time i played. Old EQ guys know, that WoW doesn't hold a candle to Everquest when it was new. The only guys who say they didn't like EQ were the guys who jumped on the bandwagon a bit too late.

However, you guys might be complaining about having to wait a while for this expansion, but there is one thing that Blizzard has always been known for. They take a while to get the job done, but when they do it is most always top notch in content and quality.

If the expansion takes too long I'll be switching to D&D.

Holy cow! That's rediculous. I hope it's not that long.

Most likely it will be another 6 months or so. Blizzard still needs to balance and overhaul the classes they have. Then figure out what to do with 10 more talent points for each class. I trust Blizzard, but a year and a half is way too long to go without an expansion. Theres gonna be 4 million bored level 60's bangin on the Dark Portal when it finally opens.

Yeah...they're going to kill this game. I already quit about a month ago, and honestly, I don't miss it at all. It was fun, but all the people I played with kept disappearing or they played SO much that they just eclipsed me. My friend Ryan, who actually bought the game for me, kept promising that we'd play and never came through on that, so forget it.

I've got better things to spend that $15 on every month, and at least with alcohol, i've got a hangover to show for it. You know, something tangible, unlike WoW.

I doubt this game will die any time soon, expansion or not. They got 5 Million players world wide. If they lost a mIllion player they'd still be King of MMOs. Until some company releases an MMO with as much character, style, humor, and fun as WoW, they're gonna be top dog. Are there any MMO's coming out in the next 6 months that could be called a WoW-Killer? LOTR online maybe or D&D online. But those will be more like EQ2. No sense of humor. No exploding sheep or gnomes riding mechanical ostriches. CoV is CoH with different colors, and CoH was lame. Auto Assault might be fun for a few months though...but I doubt it. Huxley is the MMO I'm waiting for.

I've rekindled my interest in the game. Two weeks ago I revived my months old warrior Grenn on Gilneas, and since then have recieved 4 of my Valor set pieces (spaulders, helm, boots, and gloves), joined a very friendly and fun guild, made some good friends and connections, and I'll probably start MC pretty soon. I'm having a blast again. I've been doing a lot of 5-man instance runs and it's reminding me how great the game can be when you're with a great group. :D

Oh yea man, I have been in a great guild in Stormrage and have gotten 2 pieces of my earthfury and the sorcerous dagger. I love having a great guild to play with.

After 9+ months, I gave up WoW.....I just couldn't get my 60 Hunter into good groups and had 0 ambition to start a alt. It was horendous, so I quit. I started back up after a 2 1/2 mo break and I'm having more fun then ever.
Scored two of my Beaststalker pieces and one Warpwood so far...yep totally sucked back in

Yea, I think everyone takes the "break" lol.. It's just you realise what a freaking unbelievable game it is after trying to go play some other games while on that break. They're just boring.

I'm on my second break in a year now, but I'm sure I'll be back in Azeroth eventually. It's a great game, maybe the best game I've ever played (and I've been hardcore gaming since 1980).
But I think it all depends on the guild and other players. Sure it's possible to solo most of the content, but it's not very fun. Especially when your on your 5th alt doing Westfall for the 3rd time. (Damn Oat bags!)
My breaks from the game usually start when my guild falls apart and there are other games I want to play. LIke this time, there were a lot of Aussies in my guild who left to play on the oceania servers. And FEAR, Quake 4, and X3 came out. So I quit.
For some reason, I usually end up trying another MMO before I go back to WoW. Last time it was Star Wars Galaxies, Played for about 2 months because I had made some good friends there, but the whoel time I bitched about how bad the game was. This time I'm playing CoH, and I'm just not feelin it. Not Comic Book enough I guess. Not WoW.
I'll probably be back in Azeroth soon. It's Amazing how much money you save when all you do is play Warcraft.

I guess games are like chicks. Single Player games are like dating. MMO's are like going out. There's a commitment. You get in a fight with it, break up. Date other games and realize they're boring. Sooner or later your back with the MMO. I guess what I'm saying is...WoW, would you marry me? LOL
