Hi all,

Is there a way to create a pdf file from a bunch of .jpg, .gif, etc files? Like 1 pic per page of the pdf document? I've seen a few pdf apps but I can't seem to find any (other than the pay adobe reader) pdf creators that will let you manually create a pdf (only create by printing drivers). But I want to create a pdf with several pics in it like a photo album.

Any help appreciated :)

Thanks!

The only apps I've run across that allow you to create pdf documents you also have to pay for.

I thought there were some open source apps for Linux, JuiceZ. I'm not sure, though...

You may be right, was thinking more windows-based apps but come to think of it, doesn't Open Office 2.0 allow you to create pdf's? Haven't downloaded the final release yet.

You are correct, JuiceZ. I have 2.0 loaded for evaluation purposes and its as simple as "export to pdf" in the file menu.

But...

Open Office just crashed as I attempted to close the window. I do think I'll be sticking to Office 2003 for now. :D

Try CutePDF (http://www.cutepdf.com/). Basically sets up a PDF printer to which you can send your files. I've used it for a little over a year now, works great!

NovaPDF has a free version as well. It sounds like it works about the same as the cutePDF utility.

I think that openoffice2.0 lets you save any document as a pdf.

I think that openoffice2.0 lets you save any document as a pdf.

The last time I checked, Open Office 1.1 had this "Save as PDF" or whatever. If I need to create a PDF, I run "dvipdf", "ps2pdf" ;-) or "convert (http://www.imagemagick.org/)" if I need to convert an image into PDF.
