Anyone else on here get an invite? I got one thinking it'd be like fill out a form to direct download it, but I guess they go over the apps once you're invited too.

I got invited to "apply" to be in beta (I think thats what the first poster meant). I'm pretty sure everyone registered to the forums got that invite, then they will pick and choose from them adding more and more over time. I'm hopin to get in at least a bit early, since I've beta'd quite a few MMO's, but that is probably wishful thinking, as I seem to be unlucky in these things (Not to mention I dont post much on the Vanguard forums, and they look at that when choosing)...

What was he like? Goofy or cool. I have talked to Brad quite a few times on Everquest and he seemed ok. Can you link the thread with the impessions? I couldnt find it. Also is there anyway i can join the beta? or am i too late. BTW, can i have a free ipod? :D

Brad was very down to earth and laid back.

that really doesn't have any impressions on Vanguard. Is there anything you can tell us about the game?

Eh, I haven't had enough time with it yet to say if its better, it has the possibility to be. I mean for me EQ1 was just amazing, nothing has come close to how well it drew me in and kept me there.

/agree

WoW is trash in comparison.... EQ 2 was a disgrace of a sequel(although i heard alot of things I did not like have been fixed)

I still play EQ 1... a modified version  . (before anyone complains about this... i have stated before that I have given Sony a good $600 of my money to play Everquest 1.... I think I am entitled to do whatever I want with the game) hehe

>< (Doesn't agree with free servers)

I was recently thinking about resubscribing to EQ1 but thanks to the Vangaurds and DDO Beta's, I don't have any free time when I throw in all the games I recently purchased and have yet to complete (FEAR, Q4, COD2, SOC and many more).
