I posted this on Rage3D, thought maybe i'd get a better response here:

According to this (http://www.nvidia.com/page/purevideo_support.html), the only low-end card to support the full PureVideo feature set is the 6600GT, every card below that is missing either spatial-temporal de-interlacing, bad error correction, and/or inverse telecine. However, looking at newegg and other online retailers, some cards are listed as having these features. For example, this 6600LE card (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1546290&Sku=P450-7274). Down at the Features section, it specifically mentions "Advanced Spatial Temporal De-interlacing".

So, do these cards support the full PureVideo feature set like online retailers are saying or not?

Yes, lower-end cards have some purevideo features restricted.

^^Complete list of features available by card.

As for that 6600LE specifically, it supports "Spatial Temporal De-interlacing" for standard definition, but not HD. Since the TigerDirect page you linked to specifically mentions DVDs (Standard definition), they are technically correct.

Is this a technical issue (the cards aren't powerful enough for it) or a driver issue?
