i must say im thinken only thing that causes artifacting is overheating. I have a 6600gt, and ive tried many settings from 200-603 hz clock speeds and noticed no difference, its only when i upped the ram to 1.21ghz did BF2 artifact. and i fixed this with a fan blowing on the ram, give it a try solves a lot of problems :p

Um yeah, Overheating causes artifacts. Any person who overclocks anything should know that... if you didn't prior well then you shouldn't be overclocking. As for it always being the case, that is false. Alot of times it could be caused by faulty hardware.

My old 6800GT would artifact at 8xAGP on my old K8NVHA Pro Motherboard but onces set to 4xAGP it would run fine.

if you have artifacting w/o overclocking yes, but at any overclock its usally heat problem, i know this was pointless, but im just happy how my bf2 is not all crazy ass now :afro2:
