I downloaded the setup program, ran in, and the only folders it installed where:

AudioDrv
AudioUtl

I have win2k and downloaded the appropriate 2.00 driver.

Which Nforce 2 board do you have?

The Nvidia Nforce2 reference drivers are about 25 megs in size. Check it to be sure your download is that size.

Right click on the exe and choose to open with Winzip. Then you will see all the folders (which will expand to about 83 megs in size).

Keep in mind that the Nvidia Nforce2 reference drivers also contain the video drivers (40.72) and will also install those drivers whether you want them or not.

You might want to go with the motherboard manufacturers drivers which will not contain the vid drivers.

Asus for example has Nforce2 drivers that are newer than Nvidia's Nforce2 reference drivers.

Thanks for the reply :).

After fighting with my computer through the night, I discovered I was having hard drive input/output problems being caused by 166fsb speed. I downclocked the fsb to 145 and now I can install all of nVidia's drivers. I ran the setup program and it said it installed all the drivers, but my IDE controller still says it is the standard one. I tried to manually update the driver by pointing it to the install directory but I couldn't figure out which folder has the driver. Is this the way it is supposed to be done? What folder should the IDE driver be in?

Also, I have an Epox 8RDA board.

I just checked my CD and the only IDE drivers included are for WinXP??? That must be why no IDE drivers were included in the .exe i downloaded with nVidia's drivers for nForce2 boards. Am I not supposed to use an nVidia IDE driver if I have 2k??

Update: just tried to install it and it would not take the IDE drivers for XP. I guess 2k doesn't have IDE drivers?

that is correct, the nvidia nforce2 ide drivers are for xp only, they are not included at all in the 2k package.
