Ok so I b*tched out last time. Didnt oc.

I just wanna know if oc'ing will kill my cpu?

I have a gigabyte triton mobo and an amd64 3200+ winchester. I'd like to do 2.2 or 2.3 on air with no volt mod, my concern is reading up that ocing cpu's kills the life cycle, I would personally think if you kept temps within reason, the cpu should last just as long as it ordinarily would.

Whats the score here? Would I be safe to do it? If I did a prime95 24 hour test and all was well, could I keep it free of guilt that im slowly killing my cpu?

As far as I see it, the lifespan of a cpu is much higher than what you will actually use it for, unless you wanna have somekind of an antique PC for good memories. Even with OCing, your cpu shouldn't just naturally die next year or whatever. Especially if you don't raise vcore, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
