Yeah, it's well done. Not too bright and definitely not too dim. The on/off switch is a nice touch too.

i have a feeling that my hand is too small for that controller....To give you an idea...if I put the bottom of my thumb (near my wrist) on the bottom edge of the wrist rest...my middle finger just covers the LED power indicator light.

Here are some shots to give you an idea.

The palm rest looks to be adjustable? If so it's like Nostromo N50/N52 and can be adjusted to fit about any size hand.

Nope. That was one of my things against it...that palm rest is just on a loose hinge...no adjustment possible.

LOL... It looked like the P from PHAT FARM or whatever that gangsta brand is.

Nice.

Hello
Good review!
I've had one of these for 3 weeks now - although it hasn't had 3 weeks of use.
The keys are tricky to engage e.g. look at the CTRL key, it's pretty big, try and press it down on the LHS and all you get is a nasty gritty, sticking feely key. The sweetspot is roughly between the T and R.
I learned to push the keys, rather than hit or tap them.
Very impressed by the weight of the device. I had a Strategic Commander which liked to slide all over my desk, but the CybSnipe is weighty enough to stay where you put it.
The main reason I've not used mine is that I seem to be having problems with powering USB devices. I get the usual occasional not lighting up problem with my Razer Diamondback mouse (and I have followed the instructions to make my USB roots be always on. Can't seem to get the latest driver to work on x64 - which is a shame as the driver helped pre-x64). But after plugging in the CybSnipe my illiminated keyboard occasionally stopped lighting up! This was particularly annoying when I was trying to change BIOS settings - still can't understand how I was able to press the DEL in the first place though?!?
I'm going to get a mains powered USB hub and try again. My trouble is that I'm looking for a value added USB hub e.g. with a card reader, or with a webcam (saw one yesterday!).
The lighting is decorative rather than useful as in allowing you to play games with the lights off. BTW I bougjt one of those laptop USB single LED snakelights and that is so perfect an illuminator when I angle it to point down on to my keyboard - gets a bit hot though after 7 hours!
I bought this mainly 'cos the Wolfclaw II was only on sale in the UK as a US style keyboard and I checked out the Z-Board forums and could not believe how long it took them to even bother to acknowledge forum posters begging for news about an x64 driver.
Oh, and BTW don't have a crazy moment like I did and try playing Rome Total War with it. In RTW you use the proper cursor keys to move around a battlemap. I went a bit mad and started using the CybSnipe butterfly keys and couldn't understand why all my troops were withdrawing from a battle, but then I looked down at the CybSnipe - W is withrdraw troops in RTW!
It's an excellent device and you just need to perservere with getting used to the keys.
Cheers

I just ordered one of these from overstock.com..

i've been using a Thrustmaster Tactical board for quite a while now.. (http://www.************/read.php?cID=97 for those interested)

I love the TBoard, the only problem is they stopped making the darned thing (and mine is started to get a little worn out)..

the N52 just never cut it for me, this Cyber Snipa (besides the horrible name) looks like it maybe a suitable substitute...

the only thing that concerns me is how well are the thumb keys accessible to the thumb?

the TBoard had a specific set of keys designed for the thumb , completely configurable for hand size and what not.. Looking at the pics of the CyberSnipa (i cringe every time i type that name) the thumb keys look fairly close together and small.. the Alt and N key also look a little odd in their position (right below the arrow keys)

its almost like the cybersnipa just went for a keyboard type layout, rather than trying to increase the accessibility of some of the keys (one of the best thigns about the TBoard is its accessiblity layout)..

i guess for 32$ though i'll give it a try and see if its anygood..
