CPU Upgrade Question

I currently have an Athlon XP Mobile 2600+ which I run at 2400 mhz. I am considering upgrading to a Athlon 64 3200+ Venice core cpu, which I believe, at stock speeds runs at 2200 mhz.

How much, if any, performance gains could I expect from the move from an Nforce2 Ultra based system, to a Socket 939 based system? I would expect to gain speed from both the cpu upgrade and also the chipset upgrade. The motherboard I am considering is the ASrock board with both AGP and PCI-E.

the athlon 64 3200+ runs at 2GHz. in windows and such, you wont really notice a difference at all. you might notice a difference in some games, but not an insane difference. you will also see a nice increase in benchmarks and be able to run windows x64 if you want.
