nVidia supports linux. But I am using an onbord riva 128 zx chip and would like to run it under RH 8.0.. It is very old and I don't know. whether it is supported or not.. So is it supported in any way ?? If yes, where can I find infomation ?? thanks Boris

128 ZXs are not supported by the united drivers from nVidia, but they are by the "nv" driver provided with XFree86.

can I use hardware acceleration with this driver ?? Or is it just for the X-server !?

There's no 3D acceleration for them. I believe there's some 2D accel, but it's prolly only for Xfree.
