WTB : Older parts for Linux box

My younger brother and I are going in on building a PC for my dad so he can learn some linux goodness. He loves pc's but his job makes him do the stauff he doesnt like so much (SCADA - oil pipeline software), so I am gonna make him a box for some linux relaxation.

I'm not looking for anything too fancy. 512 MB ram, an athlon XP of some sort, or celeron. just let me know what older stuff you have lying around that you dont know what to do with and we'll see where that gets me.
