41.09 and BF1942

I installed drivers 41.09 but I can't start battlefield 1942. It loads the splash screen, then for a fraction of a second there's a black screen then back to the desktop. Am I the only one with that problem?

My system: Athlon 1.4, 512RAM, Geforce3 Ti200.

its a known problem, in that initially the game wouldnt play on nvidia cards above 60hz..

heres what to do:

-Patch the game up to version 1.2.

-then open up your \Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings folder and in there will be a file called VideoDefault.con.

drag it into notepad.

at the bottom of the file will be the line: "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0"

set the '0' at the end to a '1'

save it, and then go start up battlefield.

should do the trick.

ps, its not specific to 41.09 youll get the same problem on pretty much any of em.
