Im looking at buying one through dell. Anyone know any promotional codes or if this monitor is really as great as I hear it is? ALso I plan on using this with my xbox 360 I plan on getting next week.

I was skeptical but recently bit the bullet and ordered one. I love it. I also didn't realize it had some gee-whiz features like PIP and PBP (picture by picture) so that was a nice surprise.

Ditto (to OWA's post). It's annoying though that many games STILL don't support widescreen, mainly EA titles, but there are numerous hacks out there.

I love the extra USB ports and the other ports on the side of the panel, very convenient.

If I had 2 dicks I'd put one up on ebay for the 2405.

It seems a very good monitor. I would have bought it a long time ago, but in Greece Dell has only an office in Athens (I live 500km away), and you have to pay the money (1200 Euro+shipping) upfront. (not my favourite buying habbit). Anyway for the money I would give an extra 200 and get the Eizo (nanao) Flexscan S2410W (8ms) which is a much better monitor than the Dell and has the known colour advantage and quality of Eizo. I've seen the S2110W upclose, so I have a idea what to expect.

Picked this up to go with my 2 new GTX 512s. The monitor is great, it was delivered 4 days sooner then they said it would and there was no deal pixels.

Now my only gripe is you can not have PIP via two computer sources even though Dell will say you can

Other then that, it's a great monitor and you will be happy if your video card can do the res

Yeah, that would have been nice. I had visions of having the 7800s and X1800XT running side by side for comparison purposes but oh well.

Nice monitor. Good for videos and occasional gaming. Perfect of desktop usage (can fit 2 full word pages at 100%). Huge screen. Expect to twist your neck a lot if you like to sit close. No protective glass on top of the LCD surface.

Mine is about as perfect as it gets. One of the best things I bought this year.

::looks at roommate's 2405FP::

It's awesome, as long as you have the hardware to run games as that sweet native res.

Should this be in general hardware? I think there is already a thread there.

But anyway yeah it's the best LCD I've owned so far. It isn't perfect (had two, both had a few problem pixels) but it's nicer than the 2005FPW I had previously. The size of this thing is just awesome.
