Hows this for a good upgrade?

Ok i have some parts, Im adding new stuff to it. Here it is. * means new upgrade part. By the way. Im on a budget $210. Im also getting a 512MB MP3 player($65) and sony headphones(7$) to go wid it. :D all together my budget is around $315.

*Mobo= GIGABYTE GA-K8U ATX AMD
Changed to= GIGABYTE GA-K8U-939 Socket 939 ULi M1689 ATX AMD Motherboard
*CPU= AMD Athlon 64 2800+ ClawHammer Socket 754 Processor
Changed to= AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice 1GHz FSB 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor

VGA= XFX 6800LE(8x) AGP 128MB

*Sound= CHAINTECH AV-710 (7.1) Channel 24-bit 192KHz PCI

RAM= 768 DDR400 PC3200 Corsiar XMS (1x256/1x512)

PSU= 500watt power supply

HDD= Maxtor DiamondMAX 40gb

Might also get a new case. Tell me if this is a good upgrade from what i got right now. Give me some tips on other parts i should get. Maybe there is something out there better that is still on my budget?

I would go 939 if you can. 754 is on its way out.

Try to pick up another 256MB of ram if you can :)

i should have another 256corsiar XMS stick in my PC by sometime next week. ill check the 939

OK hows that. Changed the processor and mobo to 939 and its still under my budget. Cool:afro:
