6800Ultra Backing plate.

High people, dont post here often (normally find me over at Guru3d) but I need a favour from someone if possible.

I have 2 7800GTX 512mb cards arriving tomorrow, so i decided to take my 6800Ultras off water as I have people wanting to buy them off me. I set about refitting the stock cooling, only to find that i was missing one of the backing plates for one of the cards... the one that sits on the underside here:

I have everything else from the cooler except this, and i really dont wanna pay for a silencer or anything unless i have to as im selling the card.

Anyway, if anyone has a spare i would be very grateful if they could send it to me, i'll pay for any postage costs etc....

Have you tried to contact the card manufacturer and see if they have one they would ship to you?

You never know, if you ask nicely you just might get one.

Yea, I thought it was weird too how the 512mb's don't have the retention plate.

Yes, it is a bit odd that, seeing as the mounting holes appear to be the same as on the 6800's. Guess I'll soon verify that for certain when i stick my Maze 4 LP's on them.

Yea, the 7800GTX 256's had the backing plate also.
