I am looking to put together a new rig, and I would like the power supply to have several features:

1. 24-pin power connector
2. Silent operation (or very close, I guess no more than 35dB should do it)
3. Sheathing around all cables
4. 4 SATA connectors

(SLI support/certification not needed)

Any recommendations?

Thanks very much.

Antec NeoHE PSU's then it is modular so you pick the cables you NEED to use

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=28550#

It comes with 2 SATA maybe 4 but you can buy an extra cable for $3

I got a antec neo he 500 watt Great PSU the cables are all nicely sleethed

it comes with 2 sata power cables i think you can hook up like 5 modular wires to it iam not sure i have to look at it when i go home
but the 24 pin or 20 pin and the 4 pin Come striaght out of the psu
so you can hook up alot of stuff to it very cool psu
and its suppose to run no more than 50 degrees c its a very very quiet and cool psu

I've got a OCZ Powerstream 520W powersupply. Dead silent. It only has 2 SATA connectors though. I have the non-SLI version too. There is a SLI version, not sure if it has 2 or 4 SATA connectors. You could always use a molex to SATA adapter. The cables are all wrapped too. It's a thing of beauty.

Linky to SLI version (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/power_management/ocz_powerstream_power_supply-sli_ready_)

Modular PSU's are more prone to rust and connection problems, they also have higher resistance and you lose about 10% of their qouted power. And in a high end rig your gonna use every connector anywyas. This is not what I say, but what PCP&C says. I don't own any of their products, but I beleive them.

Mike

I would recommend either one of these.

Silverstone 560W, 38A on the 12v, 24dba on noise. 4 SATA connectors

Seasonic 600, 36A on the 12v, 22dba on noise. Not sure on the 4 SATA.
