My problem consists of my Windows XP SP2 irregularly freezing for about 30 seconds or so. I have tried numerious configurations, and tried to understand a pattern as to why and when my compuer will freeze, but I'm unable. My whole system freezes, including sounds stuttering, and I'm unable to move
the mouse pointer. I'm running out of ideas here, so hopefully someone can help me out here.

Strange.

Have you tried watching the performance in Task Manager to see if there is some application or process gobbling up your resources?

Believe it or not updating the firmware of the LG Super Multi DVD drive seems to have improved things quit a bit. I was using fireware version DL10 and I updated to DL12. Things are not perfect however. My system doesn't like my wireless PS/2 mouse and keyboard(very sluggish), and I'm still convinced that the 2 SATA drives are causing PCI conflicts on the board.
