I decided to attempt my first case mod on my Antec P160. I have all the equipment and supplies ready to go, but I find myself in a bit of a quandry.

I can't make my mind up which way I want to proceed.

I want to cut out a window in the shape of the Imperial logo from Star Wars, except I don't know whether to cut out the doughnut, or the doughnut hole. I've mocked together a picture of someone else's P160W with the logo: (click for larger image)

Which do you think looks best? Left or Right?

I think if the metal surface was really shiney the right one would look really cool, but if its going to look like that then deffinitely the left.

Thanks for the votes/replies so far. Left is clearly leading at this point, and of the two, is probably the easiest.

The case is made of anodized aluminium. The mock-up above was done to show the general layout and shape I wanted to achieve. The flat grey colour isn't really representative of the case's finish. The actual side panel looks like this:

When you say "really shiny", do you mean like the sides of the front panel? They're mirror-like shiny. The rest of the case is brushed aluminium and isn't very reflective.

Left as well. I have the same case and I think it would look a lot nicer with the "more window" side :)

G.luck with the modding though.
