performance

I've jsut installed the latest drivers from the nvidia web site and the performance while moving windows around the desktop is horrible. Performance seems to be just fine for everything else except draging windows around the screen. I am using Redhat 8.0 on an athlon XP 2100 with a GeForce 4 mx 460. The problem seems to go away if I do not use an image for my desktop or if i switch back to the nv driver that came with Redhat.

It's already covered here (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4997). Seems to be an issue with XAA, Gnome and Nautilus...

It seems that if I turn off Nautilus drawing the desktop the problem is fixed.
