WOW! ATi really did make a clown out of themselves here.everything is right when ATi does it but is a desperate move for nVIDIA,clock raising for instance.hello clock raised phantom edition cards.there are so many BS in those slides I cannot even count,it stinks.
its ATi's desperate move not nVIDIA's,peroid.
on a side note its funny how some of the screenshots that appear on ATi slides have been posted here before by people with fake 7800GTXSLi's in their sigs.hmmm undercover ATi agents.

They quoted hkepc and theinquirer. I don't even have to read through all of it :bleh:.
Heh i had a good laugh, how about you? :)
That was pretty funny.
The "Availability" slide is missing CrossFire, X800XT-PE and the X1800XT.

Indeed, ATI really need to move fast, it will be interesting to find out how well ATI is doing for Q4 result next week, if it another bad quarter and the founder KY Ho had left the company now. I dont think ATI will have a future without KY Ho, same thing did to Apple without Steve Jobs in early 1990s and he realised his mistake and picked the pieces again and rebuild his company, vowed to stayed CEO for life. I cant believed KY Ho nominate David Orton as director in January 2006, he a disaster to the company, he supposed to fired him.
Haha, thanks for that. I needed a good laugh today.:jumping:
Heh, starting the article with the stock chart was a nice touch. :)

Wow that was pretty ridiculous. I especially loved the slide about "overstated performance". :rofl
Oops! This one is collector's piece!
Do you like my collection....

i wish theyd send some 'agents' here, then i could tell them how much their recent product lines have sucked and how i was a huge fan of their 9700/9800 series cards, but the recent line is just terrible.
theyre the ones who crank up clock speeds to catch up, theyre the ones who overvolt their cards to dangerous temperatures, and THEYRE THE ONES WHO PAPERLAUNCH. how many ppl do you see with crossfire? how many ppl do you see with SLI? (granted were in a bias'ed environment, but i have yet to see someone with crossfire)
ATI, get your **** together or else soon you will be gone. and we need competition to keep this market alive.

How the **** can they publish that **** ? MTBF = 1170h ? -> 1.5 months +-
This is a serious blame for the customer ! I's ridiculous. The fact is that X1800XT runs much hotter than GTX512MB, & as far as i know, heat damages silicon.
Also, they want to compare X1800XT vs the GTX256, nah, only 25% higher mem bw & 45% higher fillrate.

Another funny thing is they talk about enthusiasts and a video card lasting 4 years in the same slide. What enthusiast has the same video card for 4 years?

Although there is a lot of nonsense and double standards in those slides, the bit I find most entertaining is the accusation that the new 512Mb GTX will only have a MTBF of 1170 hours. If this is the case, why are many of Nvidia's board partners offering a lifetime warranty, while ATI reduced their warranty to 1 year just ahead of the X1800 launch?
I think we can see which company believes their cards will last longer.:)

Wow, just wow-
They have 6800 Ultra EXTREME labled under non-available at launch. I don't recall ever seeing one on Nvidias product lineup, kinda hard to even have a paper launch without paper
The graphs I've seen of their performance with optimizations off are just as bad. If they really had a point here they would have thrown in a picture to show that there is a major IQ difference...
It claims there has been no tech change between 6800 and 7800 SM3.0 wise. I can't believe it. They didn't upgrade an already revolutionary non-ATI feature with a non invented one? To shame Nvidia...
It claims FP16 as a non tech change. They fail to mention that both cards can do FP32 while ATI cannot do FP16 at all
Who actually looks at these slides besides us?
