The HDA/Bluegears X-Mystique had been getting a lot of attention, but I've been kind of suprised that there have been no reviews of http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10410630&SearchEngine=Shopper&SearchTerm=10410630&Type=PE&Category=Comp&Gad=0&dcaid=15889]this (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10410630&SearchEngine=Shopper&SearchTerm=10410630&Type=PE&Category=Comp&Gad=0&dcaid=15889)DDL card from Tutle Beach. If anybody knows how it performs - or even if its based on the same chip as the X-Mystique, I'd love to know. I figured since there was an excellent review and a lengthy thread about the HDA card, that this forum would be the place to ask.

Also - what's the deal with HDA's second and third cards due out later this year - the X-Plosion and the X-Raider, and what is the DTS Interactive or DTS Connect thing that they're supposed to have? I haven't received a response from the Bluegears Sales guy yet, but I'll post any information I get from him if there's anyone here that's interested.

Never tried it myself, but I know it has been out for some time. If you live near a fry's electronics, you can try it for 30 days as they commonly have it in stock.

DTS Interactive sounds like Dolby Digital Live, only for DTS. DTS is a competing digital audio standard to dolby digital. Many audiophiles claim that DTS is superior. Most surround systems that support dolby digital also support DTS, but some don't.

Kind of amazing how these relatively un-heard of companies are making all kinds of inroads into the digital audio development for games, yet creative hasn't even touched it, except of course with this ugly mess (which I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole) : http://www.soundblaster.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=16&product=14191

The unfortunate side effect of one company monopolizing the market.
