View Full Version : Xbox360 already modded ?
Well, unless this is a fake and they spent a lot of time just to rework a non-functional unit to gain some notoriety...

They were able to add a second hard disk with a capacity of 60GB. This is probably the most important achievement if proven to be true.

I wonder what his ratio of modding to playing hours is?

Huh? We already knew that you can attach external hard drives, but they must be in FAT32 (thus the impossibility of real HD content due to 4GB filesize limit).
"The best part is when viewing the contents via the 'portable device' applet you get a actual file view which is exactly what I wanted."

The 4GB limitation shouldnīt be an issue if the OS just seperates the file in 4GB pieces. There is no (physical) difference between a 16GB file seperated in 4 4GB pieces compared to a single 16GB file. AFAIK of course. ;)
On a closer inspection, it turns out that the drive is connected through and USB to ATAPI adapter so it's accessed as an external storage device.
So it's pretty much useless as it cannot be used to store savegames, live content, etc...
Big deal :thumbdwn:

FAT32 has a 32GB limitation. It's FAT16 that has the 4GB limit.

I remenber FAT16 has a 2GB limit
and FAT32 has a 4GB File limit
I don't know the limit of FAT32 partitions but I have two fat32 partitions
larger than 32GB (100 GB)
Edit:

It seems Xp can´t make FAT32 partitions larger than 32 GB but
can use them.
(I made the partitions from Linux ...)

Sorry. My mistake. I missed that it was the file size limit they were talking about.
I love that glazed blue paint. I could care less about the rest, I just love that damn paint job.
