This TV:

...is at Costco right now for $449. 26", perfect for the bedroom or somewhere else as a secondary TV. It has all the inputs you need.

I couldn't resist, such a great price for a bedroom, garage, gaming TV, whatever. I bought one and tested my 360 on it and was very impressed with the picture for the price. For those with a 360 and no HDTV, who don't have the thousands necessary for a good main room HDTV, this is your buy.

NewEgg has it for the same price (with a FREE DVD player) plus shipping which should be less then your local tax!! (xmasgrin) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824207005

I'd rather buy it at Costco personally, you can return it for a full refund for up to 90 days. Plus, who wants to ship an out of box failure/defect back to Newegg should you get one.

No doubt... buying something like this locally does have it's advantages. All in all this is a great deal for Xbox360 owners!

Ditto.. Plus, in Oregon, we don't have sales tax.. :)

Property and state tax is a killer though!

That's pretty nice. Do they make a smaller version? say 20" 22"?

Is it 1080i or 720p? I don't remember seeing the resolution listed on that web site.

Most likely it's 1080i which is still just fine. HDTV's are going to sell big this xmas season. There are lots of good HDTV sets out now in the $500 - $1000 range.

It displays everything at 1080i. You can have your 360 output 720 and it will convert it to 1080, or you can just set your 360 to output 1080.

Has anyone hooked a Playstation, Dreamcast or Gamecube up to that yet? If so, how is the image quality?

What do you expect for that price :)

At least it can upscale though, a lot of TV's just won't accept the signal if they don't support it.

OMG!!!! WTF were they thinking!!!????!! The side bars in 3\4 mode are freakin light grey! Anyone manufacturer with the smallest ounce of common sense would know that they need to be black.

Newegg either needs to get a "cancel order" button, or actually have people to answer the damn phone. I tried to cancel my order before it shipped to avoid bs restocking fees, and I couldn't get through to anyone. I called 5 different times throughout the morning and either got a busy signal or got disconnected after being on hold for 15 minutes are longer. There's $400 poorly spent and at a time of year when I don't need to be wasting money.

TV looks great showing hd content, but it looks like complete sh17 with anything else.(xmassign)

man, I feel really stucking fupid for buying that thing:banghead:

A lot of people make the assumtion that a 1080i HDTV merely upscales a 720p signal. That is not the case. It actually downsamples it to 540p, and then upscales and interlaces it.

You're basically getting a 540p image with interlacing. Getting a true 720p HDTV will get you the best graphics from your XB360.

But at that price, who's complaining? :)

You can use a cable box to "output" black side bars in 3/4 if you have cable. Have you tried just "getting used" to stretch mode? It doesn't bother me anymore.
