I could have sworn that was just a rumour, but someone @ [h] is maintaining that it's true... I can't find the posts about this from about a month ago, can anyone point me in the right direction?

I can't see why the card wouldn't be fully dx9 comp. anyway... doesn't this have something to do with displacement mapping??

I think it's simply false rumors invented by people who want to look "k3w1"

The NV30 Displacement Mapping thingy was made quite clear IIRC. Both the NV30&R300 support a very limited form of it, but neither support something as flexible as Matrox implementation.

There is one thing the NV30 doesn't support: MRT. However, I'd be surprised if the DX9 spec asked for this to be compliant. If you use MRT, you can't even use Antialiasing! IMO, it's a stupid feature.
